"Lion in the Light"

I wanted to paint this back lit beauty. He is a Barbary Coast Lion and has the huge mane that goes under his chest as well as all over his shoulders. He was cranky and we had a time getting him to lay in the morning light. After a few scares with him growling and grumbling he finally laid down right in that light! Yeah! I shot my camera and had a great time painting his beautiful colors. Enjoy!
